Mahjong Table VR is a game. These terms are short because there is not much to govern: no accounts, no personal data held by us, and purchases are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's terms. By playing you agree to what follows.
The chips and points in this game have no monetary value. Nothing real is staked, nothing real can be won or lost, and there is no way to buy chips or cash them out. This is mahjong for the love of mahjong, not gambling.
At a table with other people — a friend's table or a public one — you are sitting with real players, often over live voice. Treat the table the way you would a real one at someone's home. Not welcome: harassment or abuse of other players, hate speech, threats, sexual remarks to strangers, and deliberately ruining games. Everyone at a table can mute you; at public tables anyone can also report you.
If someone reports you, that player's device blocks yours permanently: they will never be seated with you again, you are silenced to them on sight, and a short report (described in the privacy policy) is sent to us. We review reports and may act on a pattern — including refusing a device access to public tables. Blocks are per-player decisions made on their own devices; we do not arbitrate them and cannot undo them.
Online play depends on peer-to-peer connections and third-party signalling between players' devices. Sometimes a table drops, a join fails, or a host disappears mid-hand. We build for recovery — bots hold abandoned seats, and a returning player gets their chair back — but we cannot promise a connection, an opponent, or an uninterrupted game.
The game is provided as-is, free on the web, with a one-time unlock for online play sold through the Meta Horizon Store under Meta's terms of sale. We may change, add to, or retire features. Singapore-style scoring as implemented is documented in the app; the coded rules are the rules.
